Princess Leia Slave Bikini One of Several Key Star Wars Memorabilia Items Now at Auction

One of the most iconic pieces of Star Wars memorabilia is to be sold at auction and is expected to reach the six-figure mark. As Jabba the Hutt's prisoner in Return of the Jedi, Leia (Carrie Fisher) is shown wearing a metal bikini near the beginning of the film. Princess Leia in the revealing gold outfit became one of the more memorable moments from the Star Wars franchise and fans now have a chance to add it to their collection though Profiles in History - Hollywood Auction 74.

With an estimated value of $80,000 to $120,000, the item in question is an original piece that was worn on set but the outfit was modified during the shooting to accommodate Carrie Fisher's weight loss. In addition to the full bikini ensemble, the lot also comes with a collar and some of the chain links that kept Leia tethered to Jabba's throne. Although it was intended to look like metal, the main components are all made of rubber.

While the gold bikini is an important and valuable option, it is not even expected to be the biggest draw in the auction. Other key pieces are noted below, including the expected price range. Although it is not related to Star Wars, the Indiana Jones bullwhip is another very important item for movie fans.
