A recent search of the United States Patent and Trademark Office webpage shows that The Topps Company, Inc., has recently filed two trademark applications, offering a glimpse of potential, future Topps products.
The first is for the trademark “Topps Digital Currency," which focuses on gift cards and gift certificates. This trademark will likely be used in conjunction with Topps' purchase of GMG Entertainment, the gift card provider for Facebook.

Slightly more exciting is Topps' filing of a trademark for a Shadowrun movie. Shadowrun is a popular role-playing game that mixes elements of cybernetics, magic and fantasy. The original RPG spawned a card game, video games and a series of novels. Now it looks like it's being considered to become a movie. The trademark filing (below) doesn't hint at plot, characters or stars but is a sign that a film may be in the works.
