When 2015 Topps Garbage Pail Kids Series 1 was first announced, the card maker mentioned that baseball was going to have a prominent role in the release. But it looked as though it was limited to some base cards and a handful of inserts including some based on Topps' past. What wasn't announced was the fact that they added some autographs from actual baseball superstars.
Yes, the 2015 Topps Garbage Pail Kids Baseball Autographs feature MLB players.
Each of the cards has a GPK-inspired renditions of the featured players. That said, they're not easily recognizable, especially since the artists couldn't use team colors as Brent Engstrom noted on Facebook due to "legal stuff."
The cards are not numbered. The design is based on 2015 Topps Baseball.
A full checklist of autograph signers and odds for the GPK Baseball Autographs hasn't been announced.
