2015 Bowman Joc Pederson RC #130

It's kind of strange to think that a brand that's known for its focus on young players, the actual rookie cards are often overlooked. Like most modern players, Pederson's first Bowman cards came out when he was a prospect. Not surprisingly, those are more popular than this card. That makes his 2015 Bowman card affordable and it should stay that way.

2015 Bowman Chrome Joc Pederson RC #167

Fundamentally similar to his rookie card in 2015 Bowman, the Bowman Chrome version also features a post-hit image of Pederson as he makes his way to first.

2015 Donruss Joc Pederson RC #32

2015 Donruss Baseball has Joc Pederson in their Rated Rookie subset. The look might evoke a sense of nostalgia but the lack of MLB marks is a turn off to some. Even if it was fully licensed, this is from a lower-end set and as a result will always remain affordable.

2015 Immaculate Collection Joc Pederson RC #115 Autographed Jersey #/49

It may not be as visually appealing as the Topps rookies cards, but Immaculate offers a low print run, jersey relic and sticker autograph in lieu of MLB logos. It also features a premium design that is consistent with Immaculate Collection.

2015 Panini Diamond Kings Joc Pederson RC #165

Just as Diamond Kings has since the beginning, this card uses artistic flair to anchor the design. It can be found at very reasonable prices. Besides the basic version and its several parallels, there's a variation short print that has Pederson bunting.

2015 Panini Elite Joc Pederson RC #15

There was a time when Elite and its foil-based design were considered high-end. That was about 20-years ago. The basic design is unlikely enough to make up for the lack of MLB licensing as far as generating interest and mass appeal.

2015 Panini Prizm Joc Pederson RC #174

Like Elite, the 2015 Prizm rookie card for Joc Pederson struggles with logo removal. However, Prizm is helped by its overall brand popularity and the colorful and intricate Prizm parallels.  Still, the card won't be a popular option for many collectors and the awkward image of Pederson does not help anything.

2015 Topps Joc Pederson RC #192

This is another affordable Joc Pederson rookie card. Included in 2015 Topps Series 1, it will likely be his most readily available rookie and won't command much of a premium compared to most others.

2015 Topps Allen & Ginter Joc Pederson RC #134

Showcasing a calm yet focused stare, the 2015 Allen & Ginter rookie card for Joc Pederson offers a glimpse at what has helped the budding star begin his MLB career with a bang. A handful of regular parallels are joined by quite a few more mini parallels of his rookie card in the popular product.

2015 Topps Archives Joc Pederson RC #279

Archives is a line that takes from the old and makes it new. For this card, it imagines what Pederson would look like if he were playing (and alive) in 1983. It's a basic card without a serial number, autograph or any other embellishments. As a result, it is one most every collector can afford.

2015 Topps Chrome Joc Pederson RC #129

Although not included with the high-number short prints, Joc Pederson's base rookie in 2015 Topps Chrome is still notable for collectors. The Topps design works well with the chromium finish and there are also several Refractor parallels. Additionally, Pederson is part of the variation list, and the limited short print is shown below on the right.

2015 Topps Finest Joc Pederson RC #21

Finest is one of those brands that often goes out there as far as design goes. 2015 Topps Finest Baseball is no different, with a crystal-like background dominating the design. Some will like its loudness while others will shy away. Unlike Kris Bryant, Pederson is not a short print in this set. As a result, values for the card should stay reasonable. For those looking for a chase, there are lots of Refractor parallels.

2015 Topps Five Star Base Autographs Joc Pederson #FSA-JP

Likely to be one of the more popular Joc Pederson rookie cards based on the on-card autograph and Five Star name, the card's value will be hindered by the lack of serial numbering. Collectors looking for specific rarity have a handful of numbered parallels to chase.

2015 Topps Gypsy Queen Joc Pederson RC #3

As always, Gypsy Queen gives off a vintage vibe. While box prices are a little higher than average, that's largely due to the number of autographs and memorabilia cards per box. Values of base cards, even rookies like this, are usually kept on the low side.

2015 Topps Heritage Joc Pederson RC #11 with Michael Taylor

A nod to the 1966 Topps look and feel, Joc Pederson shares his 2015 Topps Heritage rookie card with Michael Taylor. While the dual-rookie design may evoke a sense of nostalgia, it's almost always a drag when it comes to values unless both go on to become standouts.

2015 Topps Museum Collection Joc Pederson RC #20

Although not serial numbered, this rookie card comes from a high-end set that doesn't deliver a lot of base cards. As a result, once the initial supply dries up, it should be a little more difficult to find than a lot of his other cards.

2015 Topps Opening Day Joc Pederson RC #193

Save for the number on the back and the Opening Day logo on the front, this is basically the same as Pederson's regular Topps rookie. Opening Day is often overlooked and not overly desirable. However, if you want something a little more challenging from the set of Pederson's, there's a Purple parallel only available at Toys "R" Us.

2015 Topps Stadium Club Joc Pederson RC #89

As far as front design goes, the 2015 Topps Stadium Club Joc Pederson rookie card is pretty minimal. That's because it's Stadium Club and it's all about the image.

2015 Topps Tribute Joc Pederson RC #51

This is certainly an interesting Joc Pederson rookie card. After a huge amount of autographs from the high-end release were being pulled with condition issues, 2015 Topps Tribute was promptly recalled. Still, some was opened and not all was sent back. Unless Topps releases the set again in some form, this could be a tough card to find over the long term.

2015 Topps Triple Threads Rookie & Future Phenoms Joc Pederson RC #136 Autographed Relic #/99

Although the design is little much, the Topps Triple Threads RC for Joc Pederson has nearly everything collectors look for in a modern rookie. A large on-card signature is joined by a several relic pieces and a low print run of 99. While it likely will be overshadowed by bigger products, the TTT card is one of the better values for Pederson.

Key Joc Pederson Prospect Cards

The following is a short list of key Joc Pederson prospect and minor league cards released before his MLB debut.

2010 Donruss Elite Extra Edition Joc Pederson #168 Autograph #/799

Although not licensed, the 2010 Donruss Elite Extra Edition Joc Pederson is significant. First, it's the only 2010 set he appears in. Numbered to 799, the card also has the cleanest Joc Pederson autograph of any card thus far. The outfielder's signature quickly devolved, even a year later. And it has only dropped since. Elite Extra Edition carries some clout among prospectors, but it's still cheaper than his 2012 Bowman Chrome autographs. It has several parallel versions, both signed and not signed.

2011 Topps Heritage Minor League Real One Autographs Joc Pederson #/861

The only 2011 Joc Peterson cards are in 2011 Topps Pro Debut and 2011 Topps Heritage Minor League. Heritage has his first fully licensed autograph card. Numbered to 861, supply isn't much of a factor. The signature comes on a sticker.

2012 Bowman Chrome Prospect Autographs Joc Pederson #BCP104

If you're going to build a collection of the top Joc Pederson cards, you're going to want to look at his 2012 Bowman Chrome Prospect Autograph. Like the unsigned version, it's part of 2012 Bowman Baseball. The signature is on-card. However, a lot of them look as though the marker was running low on ink making perfect signatures a little tougher. Refractor parallels come in many colors and rarities, making up an even higher-end chase.
