2013-14 Topps Premier Gold Soccer is a new addition to the collecting landscape and it brings a high-end English Premier League product to the masses. Each box yields ten hits, including five autographs and five memorabilia cards.
The hefty price tag of over $200 per box may turn some collectors away, but there are some big names to be found in this product. Pelé, who has been included in multiple recent Topps products, is back again, but the biggest draw looks to be international soccer superstar, Cristiano Ronaldo. Early sales for his signed International Icons cards average right around the $400 mark.
Other signed cards that are receiving strong interest include Gareth Bale, Frank Lampard, and Steven Gerrard.
However, autographs are not the only feature of this new product. Collectors have shown interest in the low-numbered base parallels, especially Orange #/11, Gold 1/1 and Platinum 1/1. And the relic cards, notably the patch parallels, are also commanding strong values.
