Derek Jeter 3,000 Hit Jersey on Display at Yankees Museum

Derek Jeter's 3,000th hit was a historic event that resonated through the Yankee faithful and all of Major League Baseball. Now, the jersey he wore during the milestone moment is being added to the New York Yankees Museum at Yankee Stadium. The museum is on the stadium's main level near Gate 6. The jersey is available for viewing starting today and will stay on display through the end of the year.

Fans visiting the museum can also see a new exhibit honoring the six living Hall of Fame members of Latino decent. The “Latino Living Legends" exhibit celebrates former baseball greats Roberto Alomar, Luis Aparicio, Rod Carew, Orlando Cepeda, Juan Marichal and Tony Perez. The display includes items such as jerseys and trophies, as well collectibles and autographed memorabilia. The exhibit was constructed in partnership with the Hispanic Heritage Baseball Museum Hall of Fame.

Fans can visit both exhibits on game days from the time that the gates open until the end of the eighth inning. On non-game days, visitors can also view the exhibits while on stadium tours.
