This is the first time Day with the Cup has been used as a retro sort of insert. Like the Acetate Young Guns and Jean Beliveau Tribute, Upper Deck didn't include the Day with the Cup Flashbacks on their checklist or announce them in advance. Insertion rates for the four-card set. However, like the regular Day with the Cup inserts in 2014-15 Upper Deck Series 2 Hockey, they are definitely tough to pull.
Day with the Cup has become a staple in Upper Deck's flagship hockey set. It began as an unannounced insert back in 2011-12 and has continued every year since. Still a short print, Day with the Cup is no longer a surprise. The cards show players with the Stanley Cup during the offseason.
