Check your numbers, kids and collectors. The C variation is returns for 2013 Topps Garbage Pail Kids Brand New Series 3. These rare variants add a third card to the traditional Garbage Pail Kids A-B numbering scheme.
Like the C variations found in Garbage Pail Kids Brand New Series 2, long-time GPK collectors will notice something familiar about these. The names of the C variations are not new. They're based off of classic characters from the line's early days in the 1980s. In the base set, the A-name is one of the original names. The B-name is a new one. The rare C-name is also one that's been used before. Confused? Here's an example.

There's a second bit of nostalgia at play with these cards. They all have a second classic GPK character on them.
Prices for the 2013 Topps Garbage Pail Kids Brand New Series 3 C variations are high with most eBay sellers asking more than $100.
